Kindly take the time to read the following, as it contains important information

  • Academic
    • Tuition fees include
      • Wafid Institute textbooks and course additional materials
      • A language partner for groups, up to 4 hours weekly, to practice your Arabic language skills
      • You can enjoy one trip outside of Amman, as well as a trip inside Amman free of charge with our Main Programs
      • Free Wi-Fi is available inside our institute
      • Certificate of Completion by Wafid Arabic Institute
      • Visa extension within applicable/legal time frame (please check Travel and Visas section on our website)
      • Complimentary airport pick up upon arrival to our students registered with our Main Programs
    • Additional options for groups (with prior arrangements)
      • Certificate of Completion by a Jordanian University based on the current educational partnerships we have. For an additional fee of $150
      • Student Iqaama (Residency Permit) and Course Certificate of Completion by a Jordanian University based on the current educational partnerships we have. For an additional fee of $320.
      • Please note that you will have to meet the requirements set by the University in order to successfully graduate
    • Important notes about Monthly Courses
      • There is no set schedule for this program; the student can begin any month of the year based on a pre-arrangement between the student and Wafid Institute
      • Once the set parties agree on a program date, the program will begin on the first business day of every month. Friday and Saturday are formal holidays in Jordan (Saturday for many organizations). If the first day of any month is a Friday or a Saturday, the course will consequently start on a Sunday

      • Wafid’s cap is 15 students per class, in the case of having significantly fewer numbers of students; our educational advisor recommends “semi-private” lessons where you will be able to cover the same material in a more condensed manner and a reduced amount of hours. This is applicable as following
        • 20% if we have three students only
        • 30% if we have two students only
        • 50 % if we have one student only
      • Please keep in mind with the semi-private lessons;
        • Learning materials will not differ for those who are registered in our semi-private program than the students who joined out group programs
        • Spending one hour with a private, one to one, tutor, provides the benefits of spending 3 to 4 hours in group studies
        • Teacher will provide students with more homework material and have more time to interact with every student in the classes. Every hour you spend in class, you will have 2-3 hours of homework to do
    • Important notes about the Special Intensive Programs
      • Notes for all Special Programs
        • Course days run from Saturday to Thursday, five hours daily (Days might vary based on group scheduled daily activities)
        • A language partner within a group for 20 hours per program to practice language skills
        • Accommodation is available in a clean and comfortable    furnished apartment (2-3) students per a room
        • Transportation is available for groups, including from and to the airport groups, excursions and other group activities organized by Wafid
        • The last day for registration is June 15, for July’s session and June 30, for August’s session.
        • If for any reason a student would like to register after the deadline; it will depend upon the available seats.
        • Late registrations are subject to a price increase.
      • Notes for Summer Arabic Intensive Program (3 weeks)
        • Arabic language classes 60 hours
        • When you register for July, you must pay at least 50% of the cost of the trip by June 15, at latest. The remaining balance must be paid in full by June 30th
        • When you register for August, you must pay at least 50% of the cost of the trip by June 30, at latest. The remaining balance must be paid in full by July 15th
      • Notes for Winter Arabic Intensive Program (2 weeks)
        • Arabic language classes 30 hours
        • When you register for December program, you must pay at least 50% of the cost of the trip by October 15, at latest. The remaining balance must be paid in full by November 15th
        • The last day for registration is November 15th, if for any reason a student would like to register after the deadline; it will depend upon the available seats. Late registrations are subject to a price increase
        • Please check the weather in Jordan (especially Amman) before you travel, to ensure you bring suitable clothes
      • Notes for Spring Arabic Intensive Program (2 weeks)
        • Arabic language classes 30 hours
        • When you register for the April program, you must pay at least 50% of the cost of the trip by February 15th, at latest. The remaining balance must be paid in full by March 15th
        • The last day for registration is February 15th if for any reason a student would like to register after the deadline; it will depend upon the available seats. Late registrations are subject to a price increase
  • Jerusalem Trip – (Al-Quds)

Registering for one of our Special Programs gives you the opportunity to visit Jerusalem, here is what you need to know;

    • The trip is for 3 days and 2 nights
    • The trip costs around $350
    • The minimum number of students per trip is 20 students
    • Additional crossing points and borders tax: around $65
    • Hotel options in Jerusalem will be (2-3 Stars hotel)
    • Price includes breakfast and dinner at the hotel (per hotel conditions)
    • Students who do not register for the Jerusalem trip will have no alternative program provided for them by Wafid during the Jerusalem trip time, they will remain in Amman (free time!)
    • Wafid is not responsible for Visa rejection at border. If the tourism company refunds any amount of the fees paid, Wafid will pass the refund on to the student
    • If the number of students joining on this trip is less than 20 students, tourist guides are not guaranteed or will be arranged for at an additional cost
    • Check your schedule daily for details about your stay and touristic sights that we will visit, as they are subject to change
  • Withdrawal Policy

We understand that students do occasionally change their academic plans when a new situation arises. With that in mind, we have formulated a very student-friendly withdrawal policy that also accommodates part of our operational costs.

  • Cancellation for our Main Programs (Monthly/Semester)
    • If you wish to withdraw from the course before the first day of the classes, then we are happy to refund you 100% of the tuition fee, minus the $600 or $250 non-refundable deposit that was paid
    • If you withdraw within the first week after classes begin, then you would be eligible for a refund of up to 70% of the tuition fee, minus the non-refundable deposit
    • If you withdraw after one week from the first day of classes, then no refunds will apply
    • You may be eligible for a partial refund of up to 20% of the tuition fee, minus the non-refundable deposit, at the discretion of our Management team
    • Any refund or withdrawal scenario not described herein will be subject to review by Wafid Institute on a case-by-case basis

 

  • Cancellation for the Special Summer Intensive Program
    • Withdrawal Conditions for July
      • If you withdraw from the trip before May 15th, we will refund what you have paid minus the 100 USD non-refundable deposits
      • If you withdraw from the trip before June 15th, but after May 15the, we will refund what you have paid minus 200 USD (including non-refundable deposit)
      • If you withdraw from the trip after June 15th,  we will refund what you have paid minus 400 USD (including non-refundable deposit)
    • Withdrawal Conditions for August
      • If you withdraw from the trip before May 30th, we will refund what you have paid minus the 100 USD non-refundable deposits
      • If you withdraw from the trip After May 30th, but before June 30th, we will refund what you have paid minus 200 USD (including non-refundable deposit).
      • If you withdraw from the trip after June 30th, we will refund what you have paid minus 400 USD (including non-refundable deposit)
  • Cancellation for the Special Winter Intensive Program
    • If you withdraw from the trip before September 30th, we will refund what you have paid minus the 100 USD non-refundable deposit
    • If you withdraw from the trip after September 30th and before November 15th we will refund what you have paid minus 200 USD (including the non-refundable deposit)
    • If you withdraw from the trip after November 15th, we will refund what you have paid minus 400 USD (including the non-refundable deposit)
  • Cancellation for the Special Spring Intensive Program
    • If you withdraw from the trip before December 31st, we will refund what you have paid minus the 100 USD non-refundable deposit
    • If you withdraw from the trip after December 31st and before February 15th we will refund what you have paid minus 200 USD (including the non-refundable deposit)
    • If you withdraw from the trip after February 15th, we will refund what you have paid minus 400 USD (including the non-refundable deposit)

 

  • General Notes
    • The expiration date of the passport cannot be less than 6 months from arrival date to Jordan, to be able to enter Jordan otherwise the passport needs to be renewed.
    • Please be aware that students with North African passports are not allowed entrance into Palestine with their original passport. If you have another European or American passport, you should use it when you enter Jordan to enable you to visit Al-Quds (Jerusalem) – Palestine. If you do not carry a European or American passport please communicate with us before registering to this program, so we may discuss the Jordan Visa requirements and Al-Quds trip requirements
    • Course days run from Saturday to Thursday, four hours daily. Each session runs for (50 minutes)
    • The maximum of 15 students per class
    • Main Programs are for Modern Standard Arabic (MSA). Ammiya (Colloquial Jordanian Dialect) is introduced in our main programs, but not covered in depth. Students who wish to have a more comprehensive study of Ammiya may do so with prearrangement with the appropriate staff.

    • Due to local regulations and policies, the Wafid Admissions team, whose decisions are final, is solely responsible for judgments of an applicant’s acceptance to the institute. And, in accordance with standard educational institute’s procedures, the reasons for rejected applications may not be provided
    • Wafid Arabic Institute is not responsible for any activities outside our programs and teaching time for any student
